The Wolfsonian–FIU is a museum, library, and research center in Miami Beach's Art Deco District that uses its collection of more than 200,000 objects from 1850 to 1950 to explore how art and design shape and reflect modern life, with particular strengths in propaganda, industrial design, and decorative arts. Founded by collector Mitchell Wolfson Jr., it opened to the public in 1995 inside the restored 1927 former Washington Storage Company building.
