CULT Aimee Friberg

Contemporary art gallery founded in November 2013 by curator Aimee Friberg, presenting experimental work by emerging and established artists with an emphasis on women, artists of color, and LGBTQIA+ voices. Its program spans gallery shows, offsite projects, conversations, and multimedia events; artists include Miya Ando, Miguel Arzabe, Chris Duncan, Klea McKenna, and Dean Smith. Begun on Mission Street and later on Fell Street, with an Oakland outpost, CULT Bureau, added in 2021, the gallery now operates at 1401 16th Street in Potrero Hill.
