Installation view, William Roper-Curzon: Reflections of Mani, CULT Aimee Friberg, San Francisco, 2026
William Roper-Curzon’s *Reflections of Mani* brings together oil paintings of Greece’s Mani Peninsula, most made en plein air, with larger studio works painted from memory in Athens. Limestone outcrops, olive trees, prickly pears and turquoise water appear in shifting purples, yellows and greens. The paintings treat Mani as a living palimpsest, where geology, myth, ritual and habitation share the same ground.
