Founded in 1983 by Oliver Caldwell and Susan Snyder, Caldwell Snyder Gallery is a commercial contemporary gallery representing more than 50 American, European, and Latin American artists, with an emphasis on accessible, colorful contemporary painting and sculpture shown in monthly rotating exhibitions. The gallery operates three locations - San Francisco, St. Helena in Napa Valley, and Montecito - totaling about 12,000 square feet. Its San Francisco flagship remains at 341 Sutter Street near Union Square as of 2026.
