Huh Myoungwook's "Still Becoming" presents paintings made with ottchil, a traditional Korean lacquer drawn from trees native to Korea. Each day he mixes a color based on his mood and brushes on another layer, letting it dry before repeating, so color thickens slowly and surfaces edge toward sculpture. The works reflect on time, change and the natural cycle of birth, existence and extinction.
