Sol LeWitt’s Tower (Frankfurt) (1990) and Tower (Lodz) (1993) rise over twenty feet at the Miami Design District entrance from Miami Beach, inaugurating ICA Miami’s public sculpture program with its neighborhood partner. Stacked from modular concrete blocks, the twin towers make serial systems legible in the street — Minimal form as urban intervention, and the idea made physical in public space.
