Keka Enriquez's MATRIX 290 / History Painting, her first solo museum exhibition in the United States, presents eight new paintings commissioned by BAMPFA with Headlands Center for the Arts, her largest to date. Energetic, vividly colored and densely layered, the canvases draw on American landscapes and mythologies while bringing marginalized histories of migration, exclusion and displacement into focus.
