Jacob Hashimoto (born 1973 in Greeley, Colorado) is an American artist who lives and works in Ossining, New York. Working across sculpture, painting, and installation, he builds layered compositions from modular parts, chiefly hand-built bamboo-and-paper kites suspended in clusters. His largest work, Giant Arc (2026) at SFMOMA, combines nearly 75,000 such elements into a canopy filling the gallery floor to ceiling.
