Through painting, drawing, and installation, Cruz honors queer kinship and collective care, capturing intimate, celebratory moments rooted in community. His layered, surreal compositions—set against custom wallpaper—respond to San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ histories while affirming love, safety, and presence amid ongoing threats.
