Chris Lux is a Los Angeles-based painter and former graffiti artist. His paintings use thrift-store textiles and paints discarded by strangers, drawing on sources from Post-Impressionism and Roman frescoes to absinthe-bar interiors. Working from carefully planned digital collages of free-form drawings, he paints friends and scenes from the late 1990s and early 2000s, sometimes installed with stained glass.
