*Private Frontiers* brings together Naeem Mohaiemen, Prajakta Potnis, TJ Shin, and Tiffany Sia to examine the Cold War and its continuing influence on contemporary culture. Through photography, video, and installation, the artists revisit television broadcasts, pop songs, and other media to explore how politics, ideology, and power circulated through popular culture—and how those histories continue to shape today’s media-saturated world.

Their practice draws on plant biology, queer theory, and diasporic histories to examine how bodies, ecologies, and systems of power entangle. Often incorporating living materials, fermentation, and scent, Shin's work proposes kinship as a method for survival across difference.
