Anina Major’s *The Sacred Mangrove* is an immersive installation by the Bahamian-born artist, built around her *Water Tower* (2024) from PAMM’s collection. Towering sculptures of clay hand-woven to resemble palm-leaf plaiting stand among bottle trees and a path of crushed conch shells. Major explores Bahamian craft, labor and ancestry, and the gap between the islands’ marketed image and their traditions.
