Andrea Higgins’ new diptychs use painted textile patterns to explore scars, vulnerability, and self-presentation. Drawing on her experience as a cancer survivor, woven panels evoke sutured skin, while floral motifs reference clothing worn during illness and recovery. At once intimate and abstract, the works consider mortality, resilience, and the images we offer the world.
