Xie Lei (b. 1983, Huainan, China) is a French-Chinese painter who has lived and worked in Paris since 2006. A graduate of CAFA in Beijing and ENSBA in Paris, he creates atmospheric paintings exploring desire, intimacy, memory, and ambiguity. His work has been exhibited at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, Fondation Louis Vuitton, and other international institutions. In 2025, he received the Marcel Duchamp Prize.
