Umi Ishihara (b. 1993, Tokyo) is a London- and Tokyo-based artist and filmmaker whose experimental narrative films move between fiction and nonfiction, often made with local residents and non-professional actors. Her work has screened at Gasworks, the ICA, BFI Southbank, and Centre Pompidou, and in 2022 she founded the art platform Flatline City.
