Paul Pfeiffer

Paul Pfeiffer (b. 1966, Honolulu) is a New York-based artist working in video, photography, sculpture and sound. He samples and re-edits images made for mass audiences, from live sports and stadium concerts to game shows and celebrity photos, using digital erasure, magnification and looping to expose an uncanny emptiness underneath. His first US retrospective opened at MOCA Los Angeles in 2023.
