Marielle Plaisir is a French and Guadeloupean multidisciplinary artist, born in Le Havre, France, who lives and works in Miami. Her painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, textiles, film and performance draw on Caribbean and European histories to examine power, race, class and inequality, using beauty as a means of critique. Her work has been exhibited in the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America.
