ICA San José

A nonprofit, non-collecting contemporary art center founded in 1980 by local artists, located since 2007 in a 7,500-square-foot building at 560 South First Street in downtown San Jose's SoFA arts district. Formerly the San Jose Institute of Contemporary Art, it rebranded as ICA San José and presents free rotating exhibitions of painting, sculpture, photography, new media, and site-specific installations by emerging and mid-career artists, with an emphasis on Bay Area and California voices, plus a print center and education programs.
