Yutaka Nozawa presents diptychs pairing small photos with equally sized paintings of blank canvases staged in real locations. He paints the scene, then re-photographs the finished work in situ, creating a loop from photo to painting and back. Subtle shifts of light and color heighten this perceptual play. The works reflect on painting and photography as intertwined acts of seeing, echoed in a video of a drifting canvas.
