Installation view, Xi Liu: The house of day, the house of night, Andrew Reed Gallery, Miami, 2026
Xi Liu’s *The house of day, the house of night* is a solo show of paintings by the Beijing-based artist, among them oil-on-linen interiors such as Holding in / Looking out. Taking its title from Olga Tokarczuk’s novel, it treats the house as both a physical room of walls, windows and lamps and an inner space of memory and dreams, exploring how rooms absorb the lives and absences of those who pass through.
