Ugo Rondinone (b. 1964, Brunnen, Switzerland) is a New York-based artist working across sculpture, painting, installation and video. He is known for his mountain series of stacked, brightly painted boulders, including Seven Magic Mountains (2016) in the Nevada desert, and for work that sets the natural world against the artificial to explore time, emotion and the human condition.
