Artists Space presents the first exhibition on Ralston Farina, built from his newly uncovered archive. A pivotal yet little-known figure in 1970s Downtown performance, Farina treated time as his true medium, crafting actions to shape memory and surprise. Drawing on magic, philosophy, and early computing, he devised intricate timing systems and “time objects.” Long wary of documentation, his surviving materials now reveal the depth of his experimental practice.
