Part of Craft Contemporary’s Clay Biennial, tierra expands the focus beyond ceramics to broader practices rooted in land and earth-based materials. Featuring Latinx, Indigenous, and Black artists, the exhibition considers soil as archive, ancestor, and site of labor, memory, and care. The works reflect relationships shaped by migration, colonial histories, and environmental change while pointing toward stewardship, kinship, and ongoing repair across generations.
