Through Different Eyes is a site-specific installation by Hortensia Mi Kafchin presented on the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art facade. The three-channel synchronized video centers on the image of the eye as a site of surveillance, transformation, and perception. Drawing on the artist’s experiences as a trans woman and Romanian immigrant, the work moves through shifting visual states that link technology, embodiment, and futurity while questioning systems of observation and control.
