Nathan Vincent: The Shape of Awareness

Nathan Vincent’s *The Shape of Awareness* presents new wall-mounted and freestanding yarn sculptures. Loosely binding yarn into dense clusters and stretched lace-like webs, Vincent builds biomorphic forms that seem to swell, replicate, or rupture, with serpents and hands recurring throughout. Moving on from his earlier work on gender, the pieces treat identity as able to grow past prescribed limits.
