The Kitchen and Its Discontents brings Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky’s Frankfurt Kitchen into dialogue with Charlotte Perriand and Le Corbusier’s Unité kitchen, then complicates their efficiency ideals with photographs, prints, and ads that cast the kitchen as a contested stage of work, gender, and living.
