For The Met’s Genesis Facade Commission, Beijing-based Liu Wei creates four large-scale works for the museum’s Fifth Avenue exterior, his first major presentation in the United States. Known for monumental sculptural installations, he remixes familiar motifs drawn from urban fragments, historical sources and bodily forms.
