The Dance, presented by Abigail Ogilvy Gallery in collaboration with Cierra Britton Gallery, considers bodily movement through classical form and experimental gesture. Work by Latifa Alajlan, Ambrose Rhapsody Murray, Hiba Schahbaz, Sydney Vernon, Rena Monet, Emily Manwaring, and Naomi Lisiki examines femme movement as ritual and resistance. Referencing ballet, voguing, and gestural abstraction, the exhibition positions choreography as a means of self expression, collective identity, and bodily autonomy.
