Magali Lara: Stitched to the Body at ISLAA presents over fifty works from 1977 to 1995 by the influential Mexican artist. The exhibition traces Lara’s exploration of identity, intimacy, and domestic life through paintings, drawings, collages, and books. Her poetic visual language captures shifting states of selfhood and emotion. Turning introspection into resistance, Lara reframes the personal as a site of transformation and redefines feminine expression in contemporary Latin American art.
