"Sophia Heymans, Xiaohan Jiang, Ann Toebbe" brings together three painters devoted to world-building through composition and material. Heymans builds landscapes from molding paste, prairie grass seeds, mop strings and moss; Jiang layers oil on velvet, jute and wood to recall rural northern China; Toebbe paints and collages intimate domestic interiors. Each explores how we occupy and remember place.
