Sinthome presents Laurie Smith’s latest paintings in a site specific installation exploring queer presence and subjectivity in the contemporary city. Through a fragmented nocturnal narrative, the exhibition examines intimacy, desire, and fleeting encounters, drawing on the psychoanalytic concept of jouissance to blur the boundaries between pleasure and pain, trauma and celebration.
