*SIDE B: the sounds* is a listening room created alongside Roy DeCarava’s photography exhibition *the sound i saw*. Visitors can listen to a playlist dedicated to the musicians in DeCarava’s world—Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Billie Holiday, and others—with weekly focus days on single artists and film screenings about DeCarava and Davis. The room extends the show’s link between seeing and listening, jazz, and everyday life.
