HAIR+NAILS presents ROTATE, featuring Chris Larson’s Heavy Rotation, first shown at the Whitney Biennial, where the artist dissects and destroys his studio through a turntable-driven process. Works also include Cameron Patricia Downey’s chandelier of unexpected materials, Rachel Youn’s kinetic sculptures, and Dahn Gim’s Strata, a column formed from layers of her visa applications, each piece rethinking material, labor, and transformation.
