Rose Briccetti’s *Time Flies Like an Arrow, Fruit Flies Like a Banana (Musa acuminata)*, her Track 16 debut, makes the banana the star of leafy, Palm Beach-flavored paintings, led by a large triptych developed from a digital collage. Mixing biology, art history, internet culture and humor, she treats the fruit as comic icon, phallic symbol and reminder of U.S. intervention in Latin America and the fragile, cloned Cavendish monoculture.
