Rocío García’s *La Parisina* presents new paintings made during the Cuban artist’s 2026 Paris residency. A female protagonist moves through scenes of provocation, lust and hedonism, rendered in expressive color, decorative pattern and theatrical space that nod to Matisse and cinema. Shaped by nostalgia and memory, the narrative fragments explore desire, agency and shifting power in intimate, psychologically charged moments.
