Raida Adon’s "HOUSE" (2002) is a six-minute video in which the Palestinian-Israeli artist walks barefoot along Jerusalem’s Via Dolorosa balancing a colorful, palace-like house on her head, among soldiers, police and women carrying heavy loads. The house is both a childhood fantasy and a collective symbol of belonging and conflict over a home two peoples still fight for, seen through a feminine gaze.
