Perforation, Ellipse is an exhibition by Alison Nguyen centered on a multi-channel film installation. The work includes a 16mm performance of an arrow traversing a city skyline, architectural screen arrangements, and sequences drawn from a new film alongside archival footage of Vietnamese bolero music. Through looping structures, sound, and sculptural display, the installation examines movement, time, censorship, and cultural memory within diasporic experience, emphasizing fragmentation, delay, and the instability of historical narrative.
