Maryrose Cobarrubias Mendoza: Past Time

Commonwealth and Council Los Angeles · Mid-City

Exhibition on view: Sep 19, 2026 - Dec 19, 2026

AAAgent presents "Past Time", a multi-dimensional, site-responsive installation by Maryrose Cobarrubias Mendoza behind three doors along Commonwealth and Council’s corridor. Bas-relief tableaux of wire, cloth, paper and wood move from a child’s-eye view of a Southern California home’s exterior to an early-’70s interior and “the girls’ room,” reflecting on her childhood home and immigrant aspirations.
