Pascale Marthine Tayou’s Welcome Wall transforms LED signs into a celebration of global linguistic diversity. Featuring “welcome” in more than 200 languages, the evolving installation highlights endangered and underrepresented languages while challenging cultural hierarchies. Created through community participation, the work turns The Bass’s Rotunda into a space for recognition, exchange, and belonging.
