Parallel Circuit(s) is a pop-up group exhibition by Dastan Gallery in collaboration with Parallel Circuit and François Ghebaly, bringing together an array of diverse yet distinctive voices from contemporary art. The exhibition takes its name from Mamali Shafahi's Tehran Parallel Circuit gallery, conceived as a platform for cross-cultural exchange that political conditions and COVID left only partially realized. Located in a renovated 1938 brick building in Beverly Hills, the works in this show arrived in Los Angeles through gallery programming and international art fairs. They are here because the path back is not currently open. That is reason enough to open a room and let people in.
Featuring works by Farideh Lashai, Ardeshir Mohassess, Tala Madani, Shahryar Nashat, Neïl Beloufa, Fereydoun Ave, Iman Raad, Hadi Alijani, Bita Fayyazi, Kour Pour, Roksana Pirouzmand, Yousha Bashir, Salim Green, Jacqueline Kiyomi Gork, MAIA RUTH LEE, Farah Al Qasimi, and Sara Issakharian.
