Paper is a site of experimentation, record keeping, archiving, and discovery. Paper Trail at Boesky Gallery brings together works on paper by 21 artists—drawings, watercolors, photographs, and prints—following four thematic threads: material experimentation, mechanics of translation, sustained acts of looking, and the pursuit of history and memory. Each work captures an artist in the act of pursuing an idea, and following wherever it leads.
