This exhibition brings together works by Thiago Barbalho and Antonio Henrique Amaral across different generations of Brazilian art. Both artists engage hybrid figures and organic imagery through distinct approaches to figuration. Amaral’s paintings and drawings from the late 1960s–70s confront the brutality of Brazil’s dictatorship with sharp satire, while Barbalho’s detailed, expansive compositions explore imaginative forms across multiple media, revealing unexpected visual connections between their practices.
