Inspired by Papo Colo's Octopus: An Act of Sculpture (1982), an accordion-style outdoor book of plywood panels first staged in El Museo's courtyard, this exhibition (August 6–November 15, 2026) showcases collaboration between artists and poets and artworks that embrace and subvert the book form. Anchored by Colo's recently gifted panels, shown for the first time in more than four decades, it gathers cross-generational collection works, archival materials, and loans. Curated by Zuna Maza.
