Lacey Stoffer’s *Night Carries Color* presents paintings where color is pushed back or held within darker, quieter fields. Working with linen, oil, hand-dyed yarn, thread, collage, gouache-painted paper-clay pins and pastel, she sews yarn straight through the canvas, then revises, removing threads and burying layers so holes and earlier states stay visible, treating night as something that carries what came before.
