Neo-Chicanonismo in Abstraction, Surrealism, and Latinidad, part of LA Futurism – Summer Series, examines how Chicano and Latinx artists reclaim and transform historically Eurocentric genres through migration, cultural memory, and lived experience. Infused with barrio sensibilities, ancestral echoes, and street aesthetics, the work redefines painting into a transnational language rooted in Los Angeles.
