Margot Samel presents a solo exhibition by Narcissister at Kendall Koppe in Glasgow, marking the artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery and in the UK. Through performance, humor, dance, and Black radical feminist methodologies, Narcissister examines race, gender, and sexuality, exploring the self as a site of continual negotiation within systems of surveillance and heteronormative policing. Her performative persona challenges prescribed norms and the expectations imposed on those deemed outside them.
