"Morel Doucet: The Things We Carry" gathers ceramics, portraits and mixed-media works rooted in the experiences and material culture of the Caribbean diaspora. Drawing on his Haitian heritage and Miami upbringing, Doucet turns slip-cast vessels, botanical forms, photographs and found objects into reflections on migration, climate change and home, and on the memories and ancestral knowledge carried across oceans.
