Ugo Rondinone’s *Miami Mountain* (2016) is a 42-foot sculpture of stone, paint and steel, permanently installed in Collins Park by The Bass. Massive boulders painted in fluorescent, contrasting colors rise in a precarious stacked column, extending the artist’s well-known mountain series. Rondinone explores the meeting of nature and artifice, turning raw stone into a bright, totemic public landmark.
