Haas Brothers: Mathemagical

Marianne Boesky Gallery, 509 24th Street New York · Chelsea

Exhibition on view: Sep 10, 2026 - Oct 17, 2026

The Haas Brothers’ *Mathemagical* brings together new sculptures and paintings exploring how mathematical systems and natural processes generate complex, organic patterns. Using algorithms and layered materials including bronze, glass and paint, the artists turn familiar landscapes, figures and trees into intricate works that reveal the wonder and magic hidden within structured systems.

Haas Brothers

The Haas Brothers, twins Nikolai and Simon Haas (b. 1984, Santa Monica), grew up in Austin, Texas, and live and work in Los Angeles. Founding their studio in 2010 as furniture designers, they now make humorous, biomorphic sculpture and design in bronze, brass, glass, porcelain and fur. Their mid-career survey Uncanny Valley opened at Cranbrook Art Museum in 2025, and their work is in the Met and Cooper Hewitt collections.
