The World Is Surreal marks Margot Bittenbender’s second solo exhibition at Prince Street Gallery, bringing together dreamlike prints and sharply charged surreal imagery. Early works draw on Japanese motifs to create unreal juxtapositions, while later pieces respond to political cruelty and cultural violence. Recurring puppets and dolls—part of a series spanning over 25 years—stand in for humanity, voicing unease, vulnerability, and resistance.
